The Lego Lab is a cooperative effort between the NMS Educators and Parents along with the Friends of Nelson Mandela School. In that spirit, the Lego Lab AG hopes to make available the Lego Lab Elements to classroom teachers and educators for use in their curriculum.
Guidelines for Classroom use are pretty simple:
1) Need to book the Lego Lab (for now) one week in advance. Please utilize the Google Document below that after completed will be sent to the Lego Lab Organizers so that materials can be prepared ahead of time. We can accomodate some week-to-week sessions which means that we could keep students' creations from session-to-session, but that the Lego Lab could only accommodate one to two classes at a time. One time only classes where students create and break down in one session can always be accommodated.

2) At least one teacher or educator needs to be in the room at all times during the Lego Lab session.
3) Lego Lab elements need to be completely cleaned up and as much as possible elements need to be put into the correct tub after use. Otherwise, it will be difficult for students to use the elements later.
4) Lego Lab Coaches have developed a Lego Lab 101 session where we can show students the different elements so that every student and teacher/educator is speaking the same vocabulary. Because the lab is an English AG, this will be an English 101.
5) If you have any questions, about the Lego Lab use for the classroom, please contact Frau Ralph, Herr Zlodre or Frau Samios for more information or email legolab@nelson-mandela-school.net.
